Saturday, September 25, 2026 - Beverley Callard has revealed that she lost consciousness for several minutes while filming Fair City, prompting an ambulance to be called to the set.
The 69-year-old actress said she was preparing to rehearse a scene when she suddenly passed out, later feeling extremely hot. Paramedics assessed her and advised her to return home and rest for the weekend.
The health scare comes as Callard continues to deal with the effects of breast cancer treatment. She completed radiotherapy in July but says she has not felt completely well since, including experiencing bouts of severe nausea.
She is also awaiting results from hospital tests and stomach biopsies, with another hospital appointment expected next week.
Callard has now made an emotional appeal to people who may have experienced similar symptoms, asking them to share their experiences as she waits for medical answers.
Although she said she feels normal again, she described the episode as another indication that something is not right. Her latest update has drawn renewed attention to her ongoing health battle while she continues working on Fair City.
