Four people taken to hospital after reports of stabbing in south-east London




Saturday, September 12, 2026 - Four people have been taken to hospital after a reported stabbing on Bromley High Street in south-east London. Emergency services were called shortly after 2pm on Thursday, with ambulance crews, specialist paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance sent to the scene.

The four injured people were treated before being taken to hospital, with police later confirming that seven men had been arrested and remained in custody.

The Metropolitan Police said officers responding to reports of an altercation found four men with stab wounds. Three of the injured men were being treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, while one remained in critical condition.

Parts of Bromley High Street and surrounding roads were closed as officers investigated, causing disruption in the busy area.

Police have stressed that there is not believed to be any wider threat to the public as inquiries continue.


The incident has nevertheless sparked concern among residents and shoppers in the area, with forensic officers examining the scene as investigators work to establish exactly what happened.
