Saturday, September 12, 2026 - Princess Diana’s iconic “Revenge Dress” is heading back into the spotlight, with the famous black silk gown set to go under the hammer at Sotheby’s in New York on December 9, 2026.
Designed by Christina Stambolian, the off-the-shoulder dress is expected to sell for between $150,000 and $300,000, making it one of the most closely watched fashion auctions of the year.
Diana famously wore the dress to a 1994 event at London’s Serpentine Gallery, on the same night that then-Prince Charles publicly acknowledged his infidelity.
