Sunday, September 27, 2026 - Ed Sheeran’s two scheduled concerts at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, have been cancelled after severe weather warnings were issued across Boston and New England.
The shows, planned for September 25 and 26 as part of his Loop Tour, were called off following consultation between the promoter and local officials, with organizers citing the safety of fans, staff and performers.
The cancellation comes as the tour is already facing intense public attention following the removal of Macklemore from the US leg.
Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft had been publicly critical of Macklemore's comments supporting Palestinians, while Sheeran has said the decision to remove the rapper was made by the promoter. Several support acts subsequently withdrew from the tour.
For fans, the immediate priority is now ticket refunds, with Ticketmaster purchases set to be refunded automatically and other buyers directed to their original point of purchase.
The weather disruption also highlights the growing risks major outdoor events face when severe conditions threaten large crowds, while Sheeran’s tour continues under heightened scrutiny following a turbulent September.
